ABOUT THE

COLLECTIVE

Led by Project Zero, The Coral Collective aims to support the work of the Coral Research & Development Accelerator Platform (CORDAP), the Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR), and the International Coral Reef Initiative (ICRI). Representing projects spanning 30 countries, together with the single-minded goal of saving coral reefs from functional extinction.

Governed by Project Zero’s board of directors, The Coral Collective raises funds that it disburses to GFCR, CORDAP and ICRI to benefit coral reef protection and restoration projects.  To learn more about the projects, please see our IMPACT page.

WHY CORAL REEFS?

Ninety percent of all coral reefs are threatened by human impact. The state of coral reefs is a global crisis with a lack of visibility and funding.

We’re here to change that.

Coral reef services are valued at up to $9.9 trillion annually and are relied upon by an estimated 1 billion people.
